5. I never manage to time my computer junk purchases
to the tax free weekend. Besides, it's a zoo at most stores and they run out of stock on the good stuff fairly quickly. People start assembling at the doors at dawn.

It's a great deal for cash strapped parents, though. They can get a break on a whole year's worth of kid shoes, for instance.

6. There's no tax on clothing in PA - any day of the year
but I'm not surprised to see no other tax breaks on back-to-school items in my newly-adopted state. Actually, I'm in pretty good shape for when the end of the world arrives; it'll take another 20 years for it to reach PA, then another 20 years to reach the godforsaken corner of the state in which I reside.

7. Clothing in Massachusetts is always tax-free as long as the items cost less than $250.00
I don't think I've ever bought an article of clothing that cost that much. In addition to back-to-school shopping, a lot of people wait for the tax-free weekend to buy big things like appliances and electronics. Next weekend is tax-free for us.

8. Of course, we have to help families. American values: pay your share. Family values, we want to
pay less for our lifestyle choice.

Of course if you don't throw American values in the garbage and replace them with Family values then they say you are anti-family and anti-children.
