Quick, please help me out with info re 9/11 attacks and "ground zero mosque"

My poor old mother is down in Arkansas doing battle with her wingnut friends again tonight. Of course, they're all up in arms about the "ground zero mosque".

She's trying to find a reliable source she can use to show her friends the number of Muslims who died in the 9/11 attacks. Of course, I already know that the "ground zero mosque" is more like three city blocks from ground zero, that its imam is a longstanding voice of moderation in the Islamic community who condemned the 9/11 attacks, and that the group that wants to build the Islamic community center has owned that plot of land for twenty-seven years.

I also know that the Constitution her wingnut friends claim to revere absolutely guarantees those Muslims the right to build their house of worship.

Anyways, sources for all that info, and any more good points I can pass along to her, would all be helpful. Or, more likely, an exercise in futility, since these people won't believe much of anything unless they hear it on RW hate radio.
