People have been telling us we can invest no more in America...
The deficit has concerned people for over 200 years. Some, like a friend, leave us with good advice to save during the good times for the bad. Some seem to want to scare us, insisting that we can spend no more, that our country will be ruined. Whose side are they on?

We have 15 million people unemployed. 15 million more have had their jobs replaced with lower pay or had their hours reduced. 2 million homes will be foreclosed this year. 50% of kids need food stamps during their childhood. People are suggesting that we shrink the only safety net half of our older citizens have.

How can we afford not to invest in our neighbors?
