All about them being 'professional left-wing folks'?

This will be a classic moment.. puts the issues in clear perspective... if you have both a good sense of history, and what happened since November 2008 to now.. and a good sense of humor.

3. Are we?
I haven't felt the DLC/BlueDog/Wall Street/"New" Democrat axis was on my side in over 30 years. They're just warmed over Eisenhower Republicans and they don't want a damned thing I do.

I'm with Olberman on this one. Gibbs, if not the problem, is a major symptom of it and his way of thinking is something we as a nation can no longer afford. Appeasement of the far right has gotten us nowhere; after pulling the guts out of some of the most important legislation we've had in years, they still refused to vote for it.

We don't need a gentelmen's club. We need a goddamned steamroller and wimpy GOP lite conservatives are just not ever going to be part of that.

Fighting a party that has gone over the edge into insanity is bad enough. Feeling that you have to fight your own party as well is beyond dreadful.

5. Eisenhower Republicans? Take a look at the tax rate back then.
Or the warning about the Military Industrial Complex.

Eisenhower was to the left of these guys.

The Democrats of today are equivalent to the Republicans of my youth. That's a shame for me because I still believe in the Democratic principles I grew up with.

Of course, those bedrock principles are now considered "professional left."
