4. Yep. You have to love how 600,000 get no coverage @ Anti-war rallies but 25 baggers
get every network with full coverage. The term "loonie left" is allowed but those who really have a screw loose are treated w respect.

5. Then consider yourself as part of the problem when progressives
don't show up to GOTV. Alienating the activist wing of the party is really stupid.

Luckily as noted on the Greatest Page, it doesn't seem your sentiments are shared by many here.

11. I'll take that as a "I think you're a crazy drug addict."
Joining Gibbs in the broad-brush smear. Wonderful, but not unexpected.

13. None of the choices seem particularly favorable to Gibbs.
You can vote that he meant to call liberals drug addicts because that's what he honestly believes, or that it was just a slip of the tongue (Huh? Like he really meant to say right wingers need to be drug tested, but it came out wrong?) or it was a little of both.

Any way you slice it, he looks like a fool.

19. None of the choices are particularly harmful to Gibbs either
It's a worthless, toothless poll with the wrong focus.

3. I think the message has been loud and clear
from this Administration since Day One -- their "big tent" does NOT include progressives. The feeling's mutual, there, boys.

10. I have to admit, I thought Obama was going to be different, that he was sincere.
I thought his background coupled with his popularity (at the time) might make him a force to be reckoned with. One more slap in the face (1st major one that effected me personally was the Democrats failure to act of the stolen election despite evidence). I've learned my lesson and comments like these (and fucking rahm's) make it so much easier for me to say no when the party called to ask me to volunteer. I told them that it was their actions toward progressives that lead me to volunteer activisties outside of politics.

I only learned yesterday that Gibbs was behind that Dean attack. He's even more of an asshole than I previously thought. Fuck him and those who enable his type.

12. All of a sudden Robert Gibbs is the new hero of the liberal media
He's been ridiculed all along but now they just love him.

Gee, I wonder why. The administration has been walking the corporate walk for 18 months, now they've finally started to talk the talk as well.

And the liberal media are eating it up.

14. Not likely that anyone will care, but...
One of the answers was whether people thought the statements were "honest"

Not TRUE...

HONEST

If a person says what he really thinks, then it is indeed honest.

People who want to call Gibbs' supporters "apologists" are jumping on this peculiar bandwagon of hate for some reason, wanting to equate honesty with truth and then using that to denigrate anyone who can tell the difference between honesty and truth.

Gibbs was honest, but did he speak the truth?

How the hell should I know?

Unless it involves things like which direction the sun rises each day, truth often lies in the mind of the beholder, and nobody has the right to inflict their version of the "truth" on everyone else.

Polls that nobody cares about and aren't even scientific to begin with--how silly!

17. I hate these multiple choice surveys...
...because I don't agree with the categories.

I don't think it was honest and I don't think it was a mistake. I think it was dishonest and I think it was calculated. And that he had to walk it back when it became obvious it was generating a mini-firestorm in the ranks.

He honestly let us know where the Democratic base stands in relation to the center-right "Democratic" administration. I thank him for his candor since it confirmed what I had long suspected about them. Stanley McChrystal and staff were likewise speaking their honest, asshole opinions. Both Gibbs and the disgraced General did us all a service in taking another swig of beer and running their yaps in front of reporters. Maybe we should buy a few more rounds for the WH staff and ask 'em how they really feel. That might just open a lot more eyes around the country and inspire some real change for once.

I'm sure that's what he really thinks about the left.

Smart? Correct? No. But honest? Yes.
