Now, I just posted prior to my attempt to send an alert to the mods, so I am pretty sure I was signed in. And I am posting now, so....

Anyone else having problem with this bug? And, no I do not want to email anyone. If I wanted to be ignored about this little bug, I would complain about it to my dog.

5. yeah, they'll lock, but not if others can't alert either

Just wanted to know if others were having any problems. The admins can't tell me that, now, can they? ;)

2. Could be a bug
I haven't had it, but is sounds suspiciously like what happens when I open to many windows into DU. They are really only set up to handle one window at a time, and it's usually the last one you posted from.

3. I just clicked on the 'alert' link for your OP and it opened up the alert page fine.
Edited on Wed Aug-11-10 03:23 PM by Make7
Is it happening when you click the 'alert' link, or when you try to submit the alert?

I'd suggest you do all the normal things when something is glitchy - logout of DU and log back in, close other open tabs and/or windows in your browser, close down and restart your browser, try a different browser, restart computer, etc.

4. I had no trouble "alerting" on your post. . .
though I didn't submit it, so is that where the problem comes into play?

13. LOL
running out of droits for sure.

Just posted about it in case others were having similar experiences. With a new alert system, bugs seem possible.

10. Try logging out, deleting your DU cookie(s),
Edited on Wed Aug-11-10 03:43 PM by Jamastiene
clearing your cache, then logging back in. That should at least get you closer to resolving the problem. It sounds like your DU cookie got corrupted somehow.

But, yeah, I did try that. Will clean out the computer and see if that works.
