I Want My :facepalm: Smiley, Dammit!

When I joined Democratic Underground, I expected to have a full range of smileys I could use in my posts. Imagine my surprise today when I blithely typed :facepalm: into my post then saw :facepalm: after I clicked POST. Now, I've donated money to DU several times, and when I wanted to post a :facepalm: smiley, DU let me down.

My expectations were unmet, and I'm really, really pissed off. I can type :rofl: and get a smiley. I can type :hide: and get a smiley. I can type :hi: and get a smiley. Any reasonable person would think that you could type :facepalm: and get a smiley.

It just goes to show you that trusting things to happen as you think they should will just cause you disappointment. I'm just going to quit using internet forums altogether. It's just not worth it. I'll just keep my thoughts to myself, dammit. What a burn. I should have known this would happen. It always does...

You seem to dismiss those of us who are perfectly happy with the smiley's. These smiley's have worked hard for many years and they are doing the best they can with the political process here.
