What? Barbara Boxer polling behind Carly Fiorino in CA?
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/elections/

As a Californian, I find that so difficult to believe....and really, really not good. Is "Survey USA" credible?

1. SurveyUSA is one of the most accurate pollsters around.
Carly Fiorina is trying to buy this race.

23. ^^^ Yes, GOTV is the key to a (D) victory.
I'm not worried about Boxer's chances quite yet, but I'm worried that I might become worried soon. ;)

9. Survey USA
They are becoming a bad pollster.Just recently they had Bennet behind In Colorado during the primary.

Remember even RAS has Boxer ahead In California by 5.

Almost a 50/50 one at this point.

Boxer hasn't hit 50% against her since January.

14. Don't we also have John McCain to thank for this Wicked Witch of the West?
Didn't he also pull this woman out of obscurity for some thing or other during his failed Presidential campaign. Am I remembering that correctly? If so, he's running 2 for 2 with Carly & Sarah. Both unqualified, annoying as hell but given credibility and a place on the political stage for all the wrong reasons. Thank you so much Grampa!

16. Hey, "California" is not one big L.A. or San Francisco
Don't forget the Fresnos and Bakersfields and the fact that we got Ahhhh-nuld (I have to say I didn't know ONE person here in L.A. pulling for Arnie and was kind of shocked when he won -- both Meg and Carly are doing his some old "I'm so rich! Elect me!" campaign.

27. I'm well aware of it. Nevertheless, who was the last anti-choice pol to win a statewide election?
I ask this as someone who was a California resident for about 20+ years-- so I do have a little knowledge of what I speak. I think it's been a while. Remember that Arnold, for his numerous flaws, is fairly moderate on social issues.

I certainly remember Dan Lungren getting his ass waxed a couple times.

33. A disappointment, to be sure. And don't get me wrong- I don't think Boxer is a shoo-in.
but there's a big difference between anti-gay marriage (which, as you remember, passed on the strength of LA county, mostly) and anti-reproductive choice. The numbers are trending in a good direction on Marriage equality, but it's still a couple decades behind stuff like reproductive choice.

Carly Fiorina is a hard-core anti-choicer... and massively out of step with where most Californians are on that issue. I trust Barbara Boxer will remind the voters of that.

That said, I encourage everyone to support Boxer's campaign. I've already donated a couple times to her.

24. I might point out that she was one of two congresspersons to challenge
certification of Ohio's electoral votes in 2004. With good reason...and it was a shame more didn't join her.

What's up with California? Why isn't a successful recumbent doing better?

Is Carly getting more airtime?

28. First poll showing this to be the case
SUSA can be either really accurate, or show itself to be a real outlier.

But this race is closer than it should be, likely to due to apathy on the part of many except brain dead teabagger types.

I honestly don't know who Fiorina would appeal to. She seems to have burned so many bridges along the way and strikes me as one of the most inept people to get as far as they did.

34. She can't handle real interviews for shit.
nothing but talking points. Seriously, it doesn't speak well for HP that she was ever given the CEO position in the first place. As for Cali, if they elect this fool, I will be laughing my butt off.
