Sarah Palin is quite simply fascist scum.
Edited on Sun Aug-15-10 10:06 AM by TheBigotBasher
An over-promoted idiot with a screech for a voice that combines the very worst of nails being drawn across a blackboard and the wail of the Irish Banshee.

She has absolutely proven why people like her have absolutely no place in politics and like her counterpart neo fascists such as the BNP in Britain and Le Pen in France, she must be continually destroyed at the ballot box.

Her latest drivel:
Mr. President, should they or should they not build a mosque steps away from where radical Islamists killed 3000 people? Please tell us your position. We all know that they have the right to do it, but should they? And, no, this is not above your pay grade. If those who wish to build this Ground Zero mosque are sincerely interested in encouraging positive "cross-cultural engagement" and dialogue to show a moderate and tolerant face of Islam, then why haven't they recognized that the decision to build a mosque at this particular location is doing just the opposite? Mr. President, why aren't you encouraging the mosque developers to accept Governor Paterson's generous offer of assistance in finding a new location for the mosque on state land if they move it away from Ground Zero? Why haven't they jumped at this offer? Why are they apparently so set on building a mosque steps from what you have described, in agreement with me, as "hallowed ground"? I believe these are legitimate questions to ask.

- Sarah Palin

If they are forced to move because of artificially generated anger created by the likes of this disgusting person, an imposter of a political talking head, it is a victory for bigotry and hate. The Republicans would have been successful at blaming a whole religion for the crimes of a few. Then what next?

The likes of that screeching disgraceful excuse for a politician are already saying that there are deserving American citizens and non deserving ones. They want to exclude as non deserving those whose parents were not born in the US. How far back do they want to go on that? Early settlers? I'm sure the Native Americans would love all of the empty sky scrapers.

There are reasons you do not use racism and bigotry in politics. It is dangerous. It ultimately leads to violence and death. The problem is Republicans know this and for the sake of cheap votes they really do not care.

2. No, she's fascist.
By the true definition of the word, despite the decades of dumbasses trying to dilute its meaning.

Sarah Palin is a fascist. By the definition "Palingenetic, ultranationalist populism", she's fascist. By the definition of "coalition of big business elites and authoritarian government", she's a fascist. By any other serious academic attempt to define fascism, she is one.

31. Believe the hype.
The nation is moving toward fascism. Unfortunately I'm afraid we're headed in that direction regardless of who we vote for, but Sarah Palin would step into office and bring on the fascism on day one. If she's even competent enough to figure out where to sign.

16. Hendrik Hertzberg's take in this week's New Yorker is a classic.
"A couple of weeks before the last election, the Republican nominees for President and Vice-President granted a joint interview to Brian Williams, of NBC. 'Governor,' he asked, turning to the distaff half of the ticket, 'what is an élite? Who is a member of the élite?” Sarah Palin replied, 'Anyone who thinks that they are, I guess, better than anyone else—that’s my definition of élitism.' 'It’s not geography?' Williams pursued. 'Of course not,' she said. The ticket’s other half blinked and smiled a tight smile. John McCain had something to say.

MCCAIN: I know where a lot of them live.
WILLIAMS: Where’s that?
MCCAIN: Well, in our nation’s capital and New York City. I’ve seen it. I’ve lived there.

These élitists, he went on to explain, “think that they can dictate what they believe to America rather than let Americans decide for themselves.”

It was nice of Palin not to go all geographical on us back then. She has forgotten her patron’s admonition about Americans letting other Americans decide for themselves, but at least she says please, or its Twitter equivalent. In a follow-up to her quickly famous, quickly removed “pls refudiate” tweet, she tweeted, 'Peaceful New Yorkers, pls refute the Ground Zero mosque plan if you believe catastrophic pain caused @ Twin Towers site is too raw, too real.' Sic, sic, sic."

21. I find it worrying that she is being trained and promoted by Fox
to be the next Republican Presidential candidate.

For all the talk of manchurian candidates you do not need to look much further than her.

I find it more worrying that the tea-baggers actually do worship her as some demagogue as well.

Republicans seem to have a policy of accusing the Democratic Party of something and then doing it themselves anyway.

the opposite of what they claim. A good example is President AWOL v. the smearing of John Kerry's service record.

20. Of particular note
is where she says rhetorically, to BO that he is "...in agreement with ME... (referring to ground zero is hallowed ground)". She's such an opinion leader, isn't she? :sarcasm:

Meh. Why do I pay attention to her? Kick-starts my blood-flow for the day, anyway, I guess...

I don't think the Palin is principled enough even for fascism.

24. great post
this is exactly the sort of hate-motivated bullshit she is promoting - and trying to exploit.

This is a Christian? She's an example of a Christian woman? She represents what Americans who believe in the teachings of Christ have to offer the world? - hatred based upon ignorance?

She is the face of christo-fascism and she resigned from her governorship so that she could get paid a lot of money by Fox and the christo-fascist extremists on the right to be their bobble head on the dashboard in the bozo bus on the road to hell.

Michael Moore pegged Palin's audience so well in Fahrenheit 9-11. I wonder how many of Palin's followers have ever been to New York City, have an idea of ethnic diversity... we see the same groups, over and over, work to undermine a civil society.
