I guess conservatives only favor private property rights for white male ranchers and farmers

Much of the red state angst against Democrats, liberals, and the Clinton Administration in the 1990's stemmed from a disgust felt by rural (i.e. white) ranchers and grazers about the allegedly heavy handed actions of various federal agencies meddling with the private property of farmers, ranchers and grazers. The EPA is tyrannical! The Interior Department is the Gestapo! This mantra was a big part of the Contract on America in 1994. And let's face it, most of these landowners were white males.

But now I guess that there are a group of Muslims seeking to build a community center on private property, those nostrums no longer apply.
