I know that. I could have said I couldn't afford it under Carter either, although I could under Clinton. I can't now. But I'm not going to slam the current President just like my dad and grandparents didn't slam the Presidents at the time. They were glad to be able to buy a home and put food on the table frankly. Taking a vacation, that was anything more than camping, was pie in the sky fantasyland! I don't remember staying in a hotel until I left home. Expectations have really changed.

Do you care at all about the truth? Do you know that there are places in the gulf that haven't gotten a drop of oil or dispersant anywhere near them? Why would you want those areas to be destroyed to further a political agenda?

Take your kids to swim in them. I could care less about partisan politics and hackery. I'm going to believe my lying eyes--not the politicians and hacks who only care about making a buck--and who could care less about my health or my children's health.
Marine life is dying and washing up on these beaches.
I'd feel pretty comfortable blaming it on what is in the water.
