And I will stack my record against anyone's.

54. Hahahaha. All in good fun.
I think that they were right about that, though, 48 business hours or not.
I think Jason was right and that Will was right.

I think that somehow the criminal justice system was manipulated when they found out that the news got out about it and we knew about it beforehand and so they manipulated the system.
What does it take to make one phone call in this world anyway?
How long does it take to make a single phone call?

We knew what Rove was about -- he was a contestant on "Let's Make A Deal" long after that show had been cancelled.
He was guilty and we knew it.
History will record it that way, no matter what the newspapers said about it years ago.
Since when did newspapers print the truth, anyway?
Last time I saw a newspaper print a breaking story was in 1972.
And then they made a movie out of it.

I also think that Rove had someone reading what Jason was saying and probably even had someone assigned to read these forums at that time.

There was just too much manipulation going on to think that Jason and Will were wrong about that.
And I would stand in front of a firing squad to defend them for what they said.
Because BushCo was just that fricking bad.

I also think that Will is right about the House and Senate remaining in the Democrat's hands this fall because 98.2% of the incumbents are being reelected.

As for Obama being reelected in 2012, I'm not sure he really wants to do another 4 years in the White House.
I don't drink, but if I were to have a beer, I'd have one with President Obama.

58. I am really, really hoping we keep the House. The Senate, too. But, by & large, the House Democrats
pass better legislation. Sure, the Senate screws it all up when they get it but, at least, the House manages to set the goalposts a little to the left most of the time.

On January 23, 2011, Obama is going to reveal that he is actually a shapeshifting alien reptoid. His extraterrestrial overlords have decreed that Earth will henceforth be a slave colony. There will be no need for an election in 2012, since you will probably be busy toiling in the spice mines of Kessell by then.

in my crystal ball...

The Tea Party will lose a couple of close elections and they will be blamed by the establishment Republicans for keeping them from getting the majority. It will not be pretty.

I cannot see the people, including Republicans, rushing to put the same crowd back into power, regardless of the heavy-duty 24-7 brainwashing they are getting from the right-wing media. I refuse to believe such a huge number of people could be that dumb?

Uh-oh....that's all I have. My crystal ball is getting a little cloudy...

and the Hispanic poulation has grown but they do not tend to vote. They couldn't even get them to the door for the census. I have worked with hispanic outreach a lot and it is really difficultt to get them to vote, for any party. sad but true. There may be a slight bump for the immigration issues but that may also have concretized alot of fear. I wouldn't hold my breath.

52. Statistically speaking, it's impossible. But statistacally speaking, W. winning was impossible.
Weird things happen, but I think we'll hold onto the house.

It's the senate I'm worried about.

86. I feel the opposite
I think looney-tunes extremists like Rand Paul & Sharron Angle will ensure Democrats retain control of the Senate.

Granted, we then have Ben Nelson as GOPer on many issues and Lieberman almost as bad.

There are dozens of house races that are too close to tell. Only about half need to break the Dems' way to hold the house.

As much as you hear about the heavily-bigoted and idiotic DoucheBaggers, America isn't insanely stupid enough to turn the reins back over to the Confederacy of Dunces or put SarUh Palin/Mitt Romney in office.

Bush/Reagan Redux is an economic failure, and we're not reliving that mess again. Just one more Republican presidency will mean catastrophe. The batch of GOP idiots out there are like Dumbya x 200.

Obama is helpful enough to the corporatists that they'll keep him (and the party) around.

Us leftists are not a threat. The only thing remotely threat-like to them right now is the tea party (the tiny portion of it that they themselves aren't financing.)

74. I agree on the first two
2012 is going to depend greatly on 2 things, the economy, and whether the GOP can find a decent candidate. I'm worried about the former only because the administration seems to be taking the attitude of "we've done all we can". I'd worry more about the later if I could think of one decent GOP presidential candidate.

84. I think the GOP presidential nominee in 2012 will be pushed so far right
by the GOP primaries, that they'll be unelectable. Obama vs Palin is an LBJ/Goldwater type landslide...

That said, I think we keep the Senate, but the House will be a toss-up.

Palin would carry TN, OK, KS, KY, WVA, ID, UT, TX, WY, ND and possibly NE in addition to those Goldwater got.

94. native McCain only carried AZ by 8.5%
that's not a huge margin. Plus, with TX trending more Hispanic, TX is no given for the GOP.

GA was a 5 point win for McCain. Missouri & Montana were also close wins for McCain.

Plus, Palin was a drag on the GOP ticket last time out. If she actually led the ticket, it would be more of a drag. The wackos would turn out, but the moderates would not vote for her and the rest of the GOP would not turn out for her.

89. My feeling
If Obama remains at 42 percent and the senate polls remain where they are at(Ignore RAS.Pay more attention to PPP)
Republicans will narrorlly take the House and Democrats will narrorly keep the Senate.

I am not worried about 2012.Obama will be relected.Republicans taking the House will guarantee Obama's reelection.Remember at one point in 1994 Clinton was at 35 percent approval.back In 1984 Regan was at 42 percent right before the mid term.Remember Romney Is
almost certainly the nominee of the republicans and Gingrich and not Palin(despite the MSM attention) IS emerging as Romney's biggest
opporent In primary.Democrats will have ads ready to go against both of them before they ever have the chance to debate Obama. And any
gains by Republicans In 2010 could be reveased In 2012.

I hate to bring this up, but at the time I really wondered how you could be so relaxed when there was so much blatant election fraud going down in Ohio. We had witnessed Florida 2000 and how easy it was for Bush and Co. to steal an election with a Democratic sitting president and a Democratic attorney general.

You can not make predictions about elections if you simply consider the will of the people. You have to take into account the political machinations of the parties. Third party splitters, voter intimidation, antiquated vote tabulation technology---these have always played a part if US elections, but they are even more important in recent years.

121. very likely
we'll need to rile a few more folks to the polls. There's a pack on the right who are itching to stick it to our Democratic president, and are going to be a bit animated by the tripe they've been fed by Bohner, Cantor, etc.

We'll need to do as the President started doing with his warnings about republicans privatizing SS, and continue that theme of danger from the potential of a return to an extreme republican Congress. I think our party is up to it, although it is a bit of a risk to be at all sanguine about our chances.
