For all I know, there are dozens of them in the area. But no right winger would protest that, even if all the 'stars' in the XXX movies were supposed Muslims.

2. Yeah, I heard that on Keith's show. But no mention of those in the corporate media.
Where's the right wing outrage? For being strict constructionism conservatives want to change the 1st & 14th Amendments and have defecated on the 4th and 5th Amendments to the constitution and several more I can't think of right now.

4. Well, I think there are already a couple of strip clubs in the area
And I know there's a small mosque four blocks from the WTC site. I haven't seen protesters clamoring to shut that one down.

We're seeing a lot of bigotry here, as well as some with genuine emotional reactions based on the false assumption that Islam=terrorism. Despite the fact that it was Al Qaeda, not Islam, that attacked us, some RW pols have tried to blur that distinction.

All of the local panels--without discrimination--approved building Cordoba House at the proposed site. That should settle it. Unfortnartely, it thasn't.

6. Maybe the Muslims should give the place to the Wiccans . . .
just to stir things up.

7. There is humor in that.

But not my view on things, but people can see things many ways. Note stiring things up is equalizing things.

10. There would be protests even if it was open to all religions.
As long as one Muslim could step foot in it people would protest. Sad. When will the evil religious wars stop?

8. It's Not A Mosque...Sheesh...Enough Of The Faux Noise Framing...
It's a Muslim Cultural Center...similar to ones other groups have not just in NYC but around the country. There's a "prayer" room but not a place with organized daily service...no minaret with the daily calls to prayer. My bets are with all the congestion in that area, most people would walk right past the place and not notice it.

Amazing how Faux Noise can now dictate not only what the great unwashed and uninformed on the right say and think, but looks like it's creeped over to this side as well...

9. The VCR killed adult theaters many, many years ago..
There might be a scant few left but I haven't seen one in a decade or more.

11. It's funny how porn is fueling so much innovation.
Porn boomed when VCRs were sold. And the Internet exploded sales of porn, not that I have any firsthand knowledge of that you understand. :)
