Because nobody gives a crap.

They realized that most people nowadays don't give a rat's ass anymore about what's right and wrong.

That's right: most people don't care.

And Fox News viewers laugh at the mentions of "fair and balanced". They know it's not fair and not balanced. They probably have a gleeful smile, thinking about their side turning Obama's victory into a severe defeat for the Dems, and they don't care if it's done in an ugly fashion or not.

And if you confront one of them about it, they'll smile at you because they know.

This is turning very ugly right in front of our very eyes.

The right is managing to pull their good trick and we let them do it.

They realized they reached this point where, really, there could be a civil war or even a military coup, and probably most people would go with it, either support it or sheepishly bow their head and move on, pretend it never happened.

I personally will stay home, close my door and work from home, keep the kids at home, and wait for it to happen, because I am sure outgunned and outcrazied by these morons.

1. Yep. all the crazies have been let out of the attic, and no one noticed
The racists are showing themselves in broad daylight..the gun toters are out in public near the president & no one bothers them much..The bad-tempered, rude, know-nothings are out in force, shouting down public officials & the media loves to cover them & broadcast their "demands"..

The media gives the crazies "equal time" to proffer their lies & nonsense, so why wouldn't they all come out & join the party:(

2. Would anyone have shouted "you lie!" at Reagan?
Edited on Wed Aug-18-10 01:47 AM by AzNick
My MIL the other day said we needed a Reagan, not a Carter (comparing Carter to Obama).

Well, of course, Carter said what people needed to hear, Reagan what they wanted to hear.

People were completely hypnotized by Reagan. My MIL does not want to admit that, really Reagan did not create any jobs at all. That the budget deficit appeared under him.

And on top of that, he enjoyed a lot more respect and decorum.

Imagine if a Democratic representative had yelled "you lie!" at Reagan.

This idiot would have been quartered and gutted and the crowd would have enjoyed it.

3. you are so right. carter was honest with people. they want to believe the republicans would
actually lower taxes and spending and make government smaller, when in fact every time they are in charge, the government gets bigger, costs go up. they still spend. they spend like drunken sailors with someone else's money. they just don't bother paying for it thus increasing the deficit and then try to shift the cost of all their spending to you and me. it's like going to dinner with someone. they order the most expensive thing on the menu and several expensive drinks while you order a sensible meal because you don't have a lot of money. then they leave you with the check. i just don't understand how people like my brother don't see that. i mean, they just did a story yesterday about how schools are so strapped they are putting things on school lists like copy paper and toilet paper. somehow this must be the teachers fault, i guess, but i have heard for years of teachers buying things with their own money for the classroom.

our local paper is on facebook and asked about the worst presidents and i swear to god that someone said obama is the worst and clinton was one of the worst. i just don't understand people. the 90s were one of the most prosperous decades for people. what the hell are they talking about. AND he left office with a projected surplus. his budget was shrinking the deficit!! what is the gauge here for determining a good or bad president? because as far as i can tell, dubya there was the WORST president we've ever had. him and his cohorts nearly bankrupted the damned country and hurled us towards another depression. i think that qualifies as pretty damned bad!
