Happy 19th Amendment Day!
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Ninety years ago today, the nineteenth amendment was ratified by the 36th state (Tennessee), and became the law of the land. It's hard to believe that women have only had the right to vote for 90 years, in a constitution that will celebrate its 223th birthday in September.

So raise a glass, gentlewomen, and celebrate your vote! And more importantly, take advantage of that right by spending your time and talents in the next three months to elect good Democrats into all local, state and federal offices. It's not just your right -- it's your responsibility!
