The Republican Muslim guy Rachel Maddow had on her show last night?
She asked him(paraphrasing here), why he would want to belong to a political party that uses the tactic of attacking him and his religion to satisfy their racist base?

I listened to his answer but I either didn't listen close enough or it didn't make sense but I would like to read it if possible. Is there transcript for last lights show?

1. Huh?
Rachel wasn't on last night unless maybe this was a taped interview? She had Chris Hayes standing in for her....

2. You are right
I caught part of late version last night and was in bed half asleep. Was it Chris Hayes who had the guy on or did I see this exchange the night before?

Did you happen to see it?

I was only half listening/watching... Chris is a good guy, but I find him a bit boring...

4. It was Chris Hayes that asked him.
Not sure about a transcript though. Basically, he said he thought that bigotry wasn't a part of being GOP, that he favored GOP because of 'traditional platforms' like 'individual liberty' and 'state and local control.' Something like that. Just going from memory and I wasn't paying that much attention.
