They were the only ones to cover the last combat troops leaving Iraq.

12. If he refers to "Newspeak" he probably does.
What does the Ministry of Truth think about these, the "last (American) combat troops leaving Iraq".

6. Richard Engel took the time to explain to Rachel WHY NBC News was the only one.....
Edited on Wed Aug-18-10 08:43 PM by State the Obvious
...to report LIVE the departure of the combat troops from Iraq. It was partly because of the "Bloom mobile" (named after journalist David Bloom.) It had to do with the ability to combine MOVABILITY of the Bloom mobile while maintaining a satellite connection at the same time. No other news network has that ability.

:applause: :applause: NBC News :applause: :applause:

O8) RIP David Bloom  O8)

9. Also Rachel got a heads up a couple of weeks ago when she was over there
I was wondering yesterday why she was back, but earlier tonight she said she had been told that the combat troops would be moving out earlier than the official date. So apparently she made arrangements to be in Baghdad today.

I think it is really interesting that NBC/MSNBC with their "liberal" bent is the network selected to get the tipoff. CNN did not start coverage at all until it had been on MSNBC for at least two hours. Even with the technological advantage, there has to be a reason that they picked Rachel and MSNBC to tell. Maybe the troops just have the hots for Rachel!

8. When Keith first broke in
with breaking news I held my breath!
So nice to have good news.

Is only MSNBC carrying this, did NBC news report past their time or just their regular time?

I hope there is some recognition given them for this reporting.

10. It was never a war. However, the lengths "they" will go to in order to deny Obama credit
are amazing. Basically, the MSM is sitting on their hands.
