Two notes on the big story tonight
Edited on Wed Aug-18-10 10:14 PM by nadinbrzezinski
1.- It will take UNTIL tomorrow for the talking points to leave to all points right wing. (That is why FOX is so damn quiet right now)

Some to be expected... who lost Iraq, and See the DEMS are a bunch of pussies.

2.- I am being serious here, as much as I am very pleased that tonight Iraqi Freedom is essentially over... MORE troops will still die in the comings months and until we fully pull out.

And finally, we already had ONE request from the Iraqis to extend our ahem present engagement... so do keep the pressure...

Oh and finally... that violence will just go up, spectacularly so.

On a strategic level, this is a BFD... on a tactical level, don't forget the ones who are still there. And yes, expect the violence to go up.

Now this is a note that people need to understand... as sad as this is.

Oh and to the POTUS... thank you for keeping this promise. How about that other war in Central Asia? If you keep your word on this... well by all means I hope we celebrate this again when the troops leave Kabul.

Sorry for the somewhat more somber assessment... I guess after the sugar high...

1. +1
It'll be interesting to see what happens when the violence level skyrockets. Hopefully it doesn't but...

6. Rachel said the site where they wanted to broadcast IN the Green Zone was
hit by explosives today. :scared:

I'm so sorry we did this to the people of Iraq. I hate Cheney and Rumsfeld and their puppet, Bush.

5. It is the right wing after all
Edited on Wed Aug-18-10 10:21 PM by nadinbrzezinski
they won't hold off... mark my words on that.

Ok, early on they will... but wait for them to start going there withing weeks at the latest.

For the record a year or so ago I heard a RIGHT WINGER (and called him on it, and the cops) berate an Iraq Veteran, for losing the war.

14. I have the government issue set top box.
It's awesome. Everything is crystal clear and when Conan takes over for Jay I'll be there.

15. It is a matter of geography for us
been 20+ years we got the cable living inside a narrow valley.

Don't know if you know anything about radio, but it is so bad, EMS, Fire and Police have two repeaters at each end of the valley.

16. I had an antenna in SD.
In Texas I got decent reception without an antenna. The set top box is good. Great reception. Cable makes no sense especially now with shows on Netflix.
