As we watched a convoy head for Kuwait, and as we argue about it, we lose sight of the fact that ...
...... this was George Bush's war.

It didn't have to happen.

It served no world purpose.

It was the biggest foreign policy blunder in US history.

It looted our treasury and may yet prove to be the cause of our future bankruptcy.

It was the cover for the kleptocracy.

It enriched the rich on the backs of the now nearly extinct American Middle Class.

And the low flying helicopter was not bearing troops or providing close air cover. It was carrying media who could take pictures for consumption back home.

And now the State Department is in the business of rebuilding the country, assisted by incoming mercenaries. Several thousand are expected soon. Guys with guns, not counted among "the troops" remaining.

6. and more than 4000 men and women...
..spent their last moments dripping their blood into the sand a world away from family, for neoconism. Never forget them, never forget their family's bitter sacrifice, and never forget the human toll of Iraqis killed, maimed, displaced, tortured, terrorized.

All for W.

7. shrub campaigned against "nation building". did the media call out his flip flop?
back in 2000 he was opposed to "nation building" and insisted that any military engagement needed a clear "exit plan".

then once in office he's all about bringing democracy to iraq and afghanistan and of course even suggesting an "exit plan" is deemed practically treason.

if kerry mispoke on a trivial issue, you'd hear nothing but "flip flop" for a month, but shrub got away with murder -- literally.

11. Yet, if MISSION ACCOMPLISHED in under 11 years = SUCCESS
Bush is brilliant for lying us into war, removing a dictator from power, and establishing a pro-west, unified, secular, stable Iraq.

I opposed the war because I thought that a pro-west, unified, secular, stable Iraq was between 50 and 100 years of blood and treasure away.

Eventually we will have to pay for that.
