Democrat Sink holds up vs GOP for Fla. gov

A poll shows Florida Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Alex Sink on par with or ahead of her prospective Republican opponents.

A Qunnipiac University poll released Thursday shows Sink with 31 percent to Bill McCollum's 29 percent in a hypothetical matchup. That's within the poll's margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

She leads the other Republican candidate, Rick Scott, 33 percent to 29 percent. Independent Bud Chiles received 12 percent.

Ms. Sink did get off to a very slow start. In fact, many people who do not follow politics, but may vote, didn't know who the Dem candidate was.
Then came the comedy show of Duffas McCollum and the Cretin Scott. Now, many voters are sick of the attack ads - one after another directed between these two morons, McCollum & Scott.
Scott, in particular, is a slimeball of the highest order. The former head of one of the most consumer/worker unfriendly corporations ever - HCA; not to mention his whitewashing of HCA perpetrating the biggest Medicaid scam in the nation's history.
Ms. Sink has responded well in the carnage of the Reps attack ads, but she does need to get out and about more and let people know that there is a sensible alternative to more destructive governing.
