NY Pizza Burger - Burger King - 4 Whoppers 2,520 Calories!
If it looks like a pizza, and smells like a pizza, it might very well be ... the newest overstuffed offering from the folks at Burger King.

The NY Pizza Burger, expected to debut early next month in midtown, features a gut-busting four broiled Whopper burgers.

It's topped with pepperoni, mozzarella and marinara sauce, all stacked on a 9-1/2-inch sesame seed bun. The burger is cut into six pizza-style slices, allowing diners to share the agita and the ecstasy.

The massive meal will join the menu at the Whopper Bar in Times Square, the new 24-hour, seven-day-a-week flagship fast food outlet.

and they are in business to make money.

What we need is smarter consumers - but we have the fed gov't to thank for that not happening.

27. Good FSM! You should be doing more to promote more healthy eating!
They're in it for profit not good nutrition. If you have such a problem with it, go forth and educate the masses. Besides, who say's this monstrosity is for one person? Sounds like it's aimed at serving four people.

28. Why? Because you say so? It's called PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
and if people don't WANT this food, people won't BUY it. You have no right to control what ANYONE eats. This is America, and when the food nazis start messing with what people can eat or not eat (in their minds) then lets just throw out the Consttution and become the Tea party of America.

Once you pry the food from my cold dead hands, it's only a matter of time before you dictate what I drive, who I sleep with, and what TV I can watch........

2. Imagine how many people could be saved from starvation with that!
Yet, we have people here that eat shit like this several times a day then have the nerve to complain about excessive healthcare costs, not being able to fit into an airliner seat and "fat people discrimination". WTF?

8. that's 420 a slice so what's the problem?
that some folks might overeat just like anything else designed to be eaten by more than one person, that isn't?

Sounds like a fun one time thing to try. A whole cake probably has more calories, do we lose out lunch, no pun intended, when folks sell those?

13. via your observation, nothing...
but the reality is more than a few poeple will eat one of these things on there own.

While "promoted" as a group meal type thing, I honestly don't believe for a minute that they will say to someone buying one of these, "you know sir, this is for a group of people, not single serving".

The responce will be, "oh yeah, fuck you!"

16. Maybe, but what's the difference between that and ordering half a dozen Whoppers...
for an afternoon snack? Or the guy I saw ordering 30 sliders at White Castle for himself?

Or eating a whole pizza?

Is Burger King inspiring people to be pigs and slobs with this? And even if so, so what?

21. there is no difference.
Burger King takes no responsibility for the crap they call food. As a result, the willfully ignorant public doesn't either.

But how much a person eats or what they eat doesn't bother me in the least.

It's about the larger issue of our health care costs going up due to people not having a proper diet.

I answered this down thread to your other question.

Yet another reason for national health care.

from a eating just one or two of these things?

Wow, those must be special burgers.

Or have you assumed that there exist no humans on the planet who can't enjoy these things on occasion as treats and still eat well other times, work out, take care of themselves, etc?

14. Don't bother-- it's not the health issues, it's the very existence of these things that...
get their panties in a knot. Witness the horrified reaction a while back to a simple grilled chicken breast sold by the Colonel.

The huge burger is a PR gag and hardly anyone will eat it alone. Granted, a Whopper isn't the healthiest meal, but it's far from the worst. Beef, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and some other stuff-- this is never eaten without death, disease, and destruction looming?

19. I tend to look at the larger issue.
people can treat their bodies like garbage bins, that is their prerogative, however, their lack of health reflects upon our health care system. More people who refrain from taking care of themselves, further drives up the cost of health care for the rest of us.

Similar to the rising costs of health care because more people go to the emergency room because they don't have health care or can't afford to go to a regular doctor or refused to get treated early because they don't have health care.

I could care less what people eat or what they put in their bodies, but since we don't have national health care, their food choices effects my wallet. So, yes, it matters to me.

22. Like everything in this nation...
people only get bent out of shape when they are worked up into a froth thinking something is an "emergency".

death by crappy food is long term, deciding ones end of life options are RIGHT NOW!!! aaahhhh!!! according to the right wing knee jerk propagandists.

So to recap...

You can kill yourself with a slow death but god help you if you choose to have a counseling session regarding what to do when your heart fails from eating too much crap.

We live in a very weird society.

it's only 420 calories per serving. Probably 420 calories of too much fat and not enough nutrition, granted, but nevertheless...

And personally, I doubt I could stomach more than one slice of that disgusting looking thing. :puke:

Burger King or McDonald's cheeseburger or chicken sandwish? I'm not talking the BIG ones, but the cheapest one on the menu.

If you eat just 2 of them at one meal, (something I have done) even without fries... you have had practically your FULL DAY's need for sodium. Add small serving of fries, you're over the top.

YES!

39. I agree...
morals in advertising is an anathema.

corporations like burger king and mcdonalds are insidious. They target infants with plastic crap, evil characters and bright shiny objects, all to have them as client/customers for life.

cradle to grave advertising.

once recycling the dead for a soylent green burger, the circle will be complete for these robber barons of the soul.
