(LOL!!!) Inside The Pew Poll: Most (60%) of those who think Obama is Muslim learned it from media

an amazing nugget buried in the poll's internals: A solid majority of those who believe that say they "learned" it from the media. The poll asked this question of those who maintain he's a Muslim:

2. And today MSNBC has been busy trying to re-define 'media' as
including "other" sources. Presumably "other" sources are called "media" but really aren't.

3. Too bad they did not get more specific about WHICH media.
I bet FAUX NOISE would be at the top of the list.

6. It's VERY hard to get someone to say they got their info from fox snooze.
Whenever someone comes at me with something I know they could only have gotten from faux, I ask them "Where did you get that bullshit from, LOL!" And they just say I saw in on teevee or read it on the web and they conveniently cannot remember the source.

Indeed, my BIL and I are not talking because of this very thing. He wouldn't admit he was getting some erroneous info from faux and I told him he was being an gullible idiot watching that racist shit and that was that. Haven't spoken in a month.

10. Exactly....media power is so great it needs to be held to some standard of accuracy.
And if they hop on a story and make mistakes, then they need to spend an equal amount of time CORRECTING their error. Like with the ACORN story that they pushed and then ignored when it was proven to be a heavily edited video.

11. Of course, there is no distinguishing between 'news' and 'blathering of
RW opinionators' in "the media".

Even on Fox itself there is a difference between the news segments and the opinion segments (most of the time). To an unfortunate degree, however, the audience doesn't see the difference. If Beck says it, it is no less fact than if (whoever the reigning news reciter on Fox is) says it.
