I am sad that Skinner is sad. I think DU is as great as it ever was!

DU is a forum. Where people go to do stuff like talk, and disagree with each other. It's a feature.

15. Growing pains....

I miss the earliest days-- I was here. But, there are good things that have come from it as well. More diversity.. more people.. more forums...


But, Skinner is right in many ways as to the impact of having a Democrat in the WH, though arguably that alone doesn't explain all the issues.

This too shall pass. I've gotten angry enough, upset enough in the past to take breaks, sometimes long breaks from posting. There are old timer posters who have gone elsewhere that I miss a great deal. But, then, every once in a while one of them will pop back up.. or a new poster will amaze me with new points of view or from their very "uniqueness."

But, Skinner should also realize that the economy is also weighing heavily on some of us and our ability to donate. I know it has for me. But, I'm thankful for what DU brings and as for the problems, this too shall pass.
