Over 4000 American troops died to free the iraq muslims from terror.

5. I get it...
It's not a mosque, and I'm tired of hearing it called that... however, a peaceful, prayerful place where like-minded can gather promotes goodwill and peace with us all. If you can't promote peace, well, peacefully, how the hell can you support it in a waring way?

7. Yet even here at DU you read that same lie being repeated over and over.
We all really need to get on the same page with this one and not being using the same terms as the freepers and teabaggers use in their hate song.

8. Spot the hell on!!
How can we fight the stupidity and hate while we're being stupid and hateful?

OT... I was thinking of V just yesterday; reminded again with your avatar. I think we all need to watch that film... on the heels of watching Idiocracy... art prophecy, methinks.

10. I have a big tattoo of the V logo on my upper right arm. My first at age 55.
It looks like this:

with the word FREEDOM above it and FOREVER below it.

11. Absofreakinglutely KILLER!
The only reason I don't have a tattoo at 53 is that I change my mind too often... I'm afraid I'd want to change the color, the location, the size... plus, my sister started with a lovely little rose on her ankle... she now has 6... and is planning more.

Well done.

An old pal of mine had them all over his body. He was the town hoot... really, everyone knew him, his parrots, his ginormous American flag, etc. When he died, he laid in state at his home for a few days... in a clear casket...

I lived vicariously through his ink, though none of it was anything I would choose for myself.

I can't think of ink without thinking of Ski Demski! Google image search his name... what a character... met the pope... helped me with Cub Scouts... was in the Long Beach Christmas Tree Lane Parade with us every year.

12. My tattoo is simple, but large. The "V" logo is about 3 inches high.
I didn't want to have one of those tattoos that are so small that people have to ask what they are. Contrary to what I've heard I have not been motivated to get another tattoo since then. It's been 3 years now.

6. According to Bush and the Republicans, "the terrorists hated us for our freedoms" so
if they can't build the Cordoba House or Mosque because of fear and hatred here in the U.S. the logical deduction would be that the terrorists had won.

Thanks for the thread, pwb.

14. P.S., it's not a "mosque" as such, but that sure is a great talking point for those against it.
It helps to keep the ignorant throng inflamed. The truth is inconvenient.

If I were to have a prayer room in my home does that make it a church?
