If only CNN were in a position to do something about it.

However, they were quick to give the latest tweets by Lady Gaga and Britney, thank goodness!

3. Once again the media makes itself the story.
Just another way to fill time so they don't have to report any real stories. Maybe they can push the "Obama is a muslim" meme some more.

4. They mentioned "the most under-reported story" in a two-minute montage segment
sandwiched between five-minute commercial breaks.

And they referred three times to a "monumental shift in policy" in Pakistan without saying what it is.

But they did take time to read some Facebook quotes about what people think of the Ground Zero Mosque.

6. Sure, you can track down stories about it, but why should we have to?
I mean, it's not as though it's one of the worst humanitarian disasters in history or anything, right?

As a self-proclaimed leader in broadcast news, you'd hope that CNN would feel at least vaguely motivated to report on global news, but no.

11. The entire catastrophe is an afterthought for CNN
And, since it interrupts their canned, pre-recorded spots about Snooki and Palin, they push it to the end of the news cycle.

15. Any 10 random lines of your journal have more content than a day's worth of CNN's programming
That's not much of a compliment to you, I know, because the same could be said about reading the directions on a bag of bagels.

I'll take it as a compliment, though. :-)

BTW have you seen the potentially historic news I just added to it?

17. Yes--a terrific addition!
That's the story that CNN was treating like a "it bleeds/it leads" audience-grabber, rather than as an incredible shift in international relations.

I felt profoundly humbled to read that India feels "privileged" to assist. What an incredible statement!

Oh, wait a minute--CNN is re-running tonight's primetime Larry King interview with the Kardashians. Don't want to miss it!
