How do Turkish people feel about the name "Turkish Delight" for one particular confection?
How do North Korean people feel about the term "North Korean Delight" used as an exact synonym for the word "food"?

1. My Turkish students bring "Turkish delights" to my ESL classes!
I tutor English for the Turkish community in a nearby town. Since they arrived the town has two new Turkish restaurants and a Turkish food market with marvelous yoghurt and baba ghanoush. The two restaurants are immensely popular and absolutely wonderful...Turkish food is great and great looking, really beautiful, tasty and very healthful.

These people are extremely proud of their food...and they should be because it is terrific. I would eat it every day if I could!

Yes, they bring treats to their tutors because they respect us as teachers and want very much to learn English and have their children thrive as Americans...

I love my volunteer job!

23. It's usually a good idea To include a link
So people know what you're talking about.

Without it, you're just stating something about a confection.

22. There was an article "Nothing Left" about the situation in North Korea ...
... in the July 12 & 19, 2010 issue of the New Yorker.

Here's a link to a free online abstract of the article.

Or any other magazine or paper for that matter.

And after reading both articles, I still don't see the point. I can infer a point, but I would rather there be no misscommunication.

How would YOU like to be referred to in a name about a disease?

5. At least the Vandals and Goths no longer exist.
Otherwise "German measles" would pale.

16. Nevermind the rats. What about the Lutefisk?
Now, there's a nasty bit of business that's connected with Norway.

That could be an optimum situation.

Not even Norwegian rats.
