4. I am simply saying that it is what I have to offer
I don't know how to post a picture. That is not the point. I have a skill, it is art. I would donate a piece to raise money for this site. I love it here. It's worth that to me. I do not have money to donate. I have what I make.

10. To post a picture
you need to upload it to a site like Photo-bucket and then post it
on DU

There are others that understand this much better than I do

6. I think some people are misunderstanding you.

They seem to think you're asking for offers for your art work. I understand what you're saying, though.

Actually, I have some artwork myself that I'd gladly offer in a fundraiser, too. Maybe that's a heckuva good idea.

I make 1/24 scale street scene wall art from recycled fence wood, with handmade miniature accessories. All are set in 1939 in a small midwestern town. Here's one...

29. I also get it. Good idea!
You might also consider a community auction of some sort for a favoite charity, maybe your local food bank.

13. They look a lot better in real life.
I have 'em hanging all over my house. Making them helps keep me sane in the Winter here in Minnesnowta. Mostly, I give them to people who I know will have to hang them on their walls to keep from hurting my feelings.

places interested in them. A little too off the track, I think, and they take a long time to make, so the price would have to be fairly high.

I haven't made a new one for a couple of years. The one in the photo has a complete set of magazines from the same month in 1939 on a rack inside the window of the Newsstand, all to perfect 1/24 scale. Just covers, of course, but... And that's a stack of 1/24 scale newspapers on the bench, there. A few things are scale model stuff that I've bought, like the bicycles, but most everything else is my own make.

It's just a hobby for me. I've probably made and given away several dozen of them over the years. I usually personalize them for the recipient and their home town.

Lots of work, though.

28. You're very talented.
I love this type of art, especially anything that has to do with rustic, primitive, country. You should see the great original paintings I've been able to pick up on shopgoodwill.com! Most are rural scenes, old barns, cottages, etc.

I also like most Outsider art. Lots of great self-taught artists here in the South. I'm always amazed at the creativity involved, the use of recycled materials.

My talent lies in sculpture, using papier mache, Sculpey clay. My favorite character to sculpt is Father Christmas, but have developed arthritis in both hands, so it's not as easy as it used to be.

12. I could offer some collections of heirloom organic veggie seeds
I mean if anyone is interested I have a bunch of heirloom organic open pollinated seeds... I could put together a couple nice collections. Not as creative as original artwork, but for gardeners it might be interesting?

21. I love this idea. My work did this for the Community Fund a few years ago and I got some
great affordable pieces (we did it as an auction) and the artists got exposure and a it went to a good cause. Winner all 'round!
