Shots Fired at Al Franken’s Condo
Source: politico

Minneapolis and Capitol Hill police are investigating a shot that was fired at the condo of Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.).

Nobody was home at the time of the incident, which was not reported until after the senator and his wife returned home to Minneapolis after a two-day trip out of town on Tuesday and discovered the damage to their window facing the street.

Will we see the media push the obvious story? Will they push the story they should?

3. I read a story about this last week that stated there were 'pellet shots"
From what I read earlier they aren't sure what it really was. Here's another story about it:

Pellet-size hole in Franken home window

Aug. 19, 2010 at 2:06 PM

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Minneapolis and U.S. Capitol police investigated Thursday how a pellet-size hole got in the window of U.S. Sen. Al Franken's Minneapolis home.

Franken, D-Minn., and his wife, Franni, found the hole after returning to their downtown condominium from a two-day trip, Franken's office said. The office reported the hole to U.S. Capitol Police, a standard move for members of Congress.

U.S. Capitol Police are responsible for protecting members of Congress and their families throughout the United States and its territories.

No one was injured in the incident and there was no other damage to the home, police said.

Investigators do not know what struck the double-pane window that faces the street, Minneapolis police spokesman Sgt. Bill Palmer told United Press International.

"It could have been a BB, it could have been a pellet, it could have been a rock," he said.

"Whatever it was, it did not break the inner pane," he told UPI. "And the item was not between the two pains."

5. i have a huge double pane window in front. THREE pellet/BB holes. one about 5 yrs
ago. two about a year or more ago. they caught the kids that did it about a year ago. walking up the street shooting things. kids think it is fun. it is going to cost me 1,500 to replace and i just havent wanted to spend 1,500 on that.

just suggesting it is not always because of who you are or any message intended.

10. That really sucks. I would think that the kids' parents would be responsible
for the damage...

12. 'shots fired'? (I know, not you, but Politico)
Possibly a bb or pellet, or even a small rock in a slingshot (since it wasn't strong enough to even go through the second pane).

"Shots fired"?? Really?
