The Rise and Fall of Predatory Governments.

The above has already happened - many many times, the world over. Examples: Our Declaration of Independence
from Britain in 1776 and the revolutionary wars that followed. France's Revolution of 1789 that ended with
the execution of their last king - Louis XVI. The Russian Revolution of 1917 ... etc... ad infinitum.

The trouble is, 4% of our general population fall into the category of "anti-social personality disorder."
Other names for them are "Psychopath" or "Sociopath." Their nature is greedy, aggressive, conscienceless,
dishonest, taking advantage of others, ambitious, predatory. It is in their genes (so to speak) to keep
on trying to get to the top, and sooner or later, some of them will succeed.

When the founders of our nation wrote the Constitution of the United States, they, with their separation of
powers, did their best to prevent such a thing from ever happening, and they have been successful for more
than two hundred years -- which is a pretty good record.

Now, it looks as though the predators might be winning again. If they succeed, in time they will predictably
be overthrown too (if we humans should survive all this). History shows us that everything in this world
of ours seems to follow a cycle of ups and downs. Nothing is permanent.

Will the time of everlasting peace ever come to us humans? From the look of things, it has been closer to
"everlasting war" so far. And it will remain so, as long as we allow psychopaths to attain positions
of leadership and power -- whether in government or in private industry. What else can it lead to? Yes,
the evil 4% will continue to dominate the nice-guy 96%.

I think we should still try to delay the predators from taking over now for as long as we can, though.
