James Cameron, director of the eco-tinged smash film Avatar, on Sunday called global warming skeptics “swine” at a renewable energy conference in Aspen, Colo., according to a news report.

“I think they're swine,” he said at the American Renewable Energy Day Summit, the Aspen Times reported.

Here’s more from their story about Cameron's appearance at the conference(http://www.areday.net/)

... Cameron and a host of other climate-change activists said there needs to be a broad educational campaign, one aimed at convincing voters and politicians that not being able to prove that fossil fuel-produced carbon is changing the temperature of Earth is not a license for inaction.

They also criticized the media for giving half of its attention to a very small — less than 1 percent, they said — portion of scientists who say global warming is not caused by humans.

With campaigns like the production of his blockbuster hit “Avatar,” Cameron said people are starting to realize the gravity of the problem.

1. Greasy, smelly, hairy, willfully ignorant 2-legged swine..as opposed to the clean ones with 4 legs.

3. I wonder how he got to Aspen?
Do you think he flew in a regular commercial airliner? More likely he took a private jet. Oh, sure, he probably bought a few carbon credits, or offsets, or whatever they are calling them nowadays. This practice is strikingly similar to the rich buying indulgences from the church a few centuries ago, isn't it? I guess it's okay to sin, as long as you can afford it.

One wonders what Mr. Cameron's carbon footprint is? Here's his house:

He has no credibility until he sells that monstrosity of a home and moves into something a bit more reasonable. A 2,000 square foot home should do it. And no more private or chartered jets.

4.  I imagine we all justify our own excesses...
I imagine you live like quite the hedonistic (as do we all) compared to the average subsistence farmer in Rwanda in which 2000 sq. ft. would be palatial, and our carbon footprints average on the order of magnitudes more.

That being said, I imagine that we have no credibility until we live in huts also.

I imagine we all justify our own excesses while railing against others who exceed even ours...
