Jeb Bush: Democrats focusing on my brother "is a loser issue. They have a big L on their foreheads."

(Getty Images)

Jeb Bush, the former governor of Florida, said the Democratic Party was showing its desperation by spending so much time focusing on his brother. “It’s a loser issue — they have a big L on their foreheads,” Mr. Bush said in an interview. “If that’s all they’ve got, it’s a pretty good indication of the problems that the Democrats face in 2010.” (August 19, 2010)

We think Jeb is the one with a big "L" tattooed on his forehead.

Lehman.

(And, yeah, your brother, the loser, IS the primary reason we're in this mess, and as much as you'd like us to forget it.... well.... FORGET IT.)

8. He's probably right.
The Bush's are the losers but focusing on them isn't a good campaign issue.

Senate Republicans are the ones to run against. They blocked the mandate that the people gave to Congress and Obama. We need to win more Senate elections if we're going to have a functioning government and do what needs to be done to fix the country. Bush isn't running this year. We need to campaign against who's running.

Our entire focus should be on republicans, not Bush*.. Bush* is history but he did not do anything by himself. It took the Republicans to do the dirty deeds and they are still here.

Edited on Mon Aug-23-10 03:41 PM by gulliver
By reversing what Jeb has to say, you do in fact get good advice. Dems should be hammering on George W. Bush and his Republicans in Congress. We should not let the Republicans run away from the disaster they created, and George W. Bush is the perfect symbol. Every single Republican member of Congress who voted with George W. Bush should be systematically outed as a "Bush Republican cheerleader and accomplice in the disaster they created for America."

he's going to play that card? Well let's see, your brother started 2 wars, allowed the country to be attacked, turned over the economy to Wall Street, subverted the constitution and generally made the US a hated nation. But anyone who mentions those things is a "loser"? :rofl  Fuck off frat boy.

30. Poor Jeb. HE was the one that supposed to ruin the country.

And now he'll never get the chance, because W. never understood that you have to be *discreet* when you're screwing over the middle class.

Blaming W. is far from all the Democrats have to work with. But the fact that a Republican once again re-defined the term "worst President / war criminal / nightmare ever" does frame things in a certain way.

At the very least, it should keep future Bushes, including the repellent Jeb, out of the White House for a while.

John Ellis ("Jeb") Bush

After graduating from Texas University, Jeb Bush served a short apprenticeship at the Venezuelan branch of Texas Commerce Bank in Caracas before settling in Miami, in 1980, to work on his father's unsuccessful primary bid against Ronald Reagan. Campaigning for Dad was hardly a paying job. But Jeb was about to learn that being one of George Bush's sons means never having to circulate a résumé.

In the next few years, financial support flowed to Jeb through Miami's right-wing Cuban community. Republican party politics and a series of business scandals -- including Medicaid fraud and shady S&L deals -- were inextricably intertwined. A former federal prosecutor told MJ that, when he looked into Jeb's lucrative business dealings with a now-fugitive Cuban, he considered two possibilities -- Jeb was either crooked or stupid. At the time, he concluded Jeb was merely stupid.

First President Bush sobs while talking of Jeb
Chokes up over Florida governor's ability to handle victory and defeat
updated 12/5/2006 8:34:41 AM ET

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Former President George H.W. Bush broke down in tears as he cited his son, Gov. Jeb Bush, as an example of leadership.

Bush was addressing lawmakers, his son's top administrators, and state workers gathered in the House chamber Monday for the last of the governor's leadership forums.

He said he was proud of how his son handled losing the 1994 governor's race to popular incumbent Democrat Lawton Chiles, and vaguely referred to dirty tricks in the campaign.

'True measure of a man'
"He didn't whine about it. He didn't complain," the former president said before choking up. As he tried to continue, he let out a sob and put a handkerchief to his face. When he spoke again, his words were broken up by pauses as he tried to regain composure.

"A true measure of a man is how you handle victory and how you handle defeat, so in '94 Floridians chose to rehire the governor. They took note of his worthy opponent, who showed with not only words but with actions what decency he had," Bush said before again sobbing.

and history will judge Dubya as the WORST president of the century, as well - the majority of American already see him (and you) this way.

your entire family, in fact, is an embarrassment to this nation - you epitomize everything that is wrong with the right wing oiligarchy.

and, in closing, I would like to invite you to fuck yourself for your total disregard of our nation's laws - and, oh yeah, your brother was such a fucking joke you had to fix the vote in your state, you crook, to get your fucking waste of a brother in office.

....even after you bunch of asshole hypocrites with your mistresses and illegitimate children and all the rest had the nerve to go after a president because of a blow job. Isn't there a bible verse about removing the blow job in your own mouth before pointing to someone else's?
