I can't say I don't like the attention
I drive a pretty unassuming car.
I however do have two bumper stickers. One reads " (peace sign) It's still a good idea" and the other reads, "Universal Single-Payer Health Care!"

I've noticed in the past couple of weeks people have been checking it out.

For instance, I was at Chick-Fil-A (I know...I know) and while I was going in, some woman was checking out my bumper stickers. When I came out, a guy was checking them out as well.

Maybe I'll change a few minds or some people will go home and look up single-payer and think, "FUCK YEAH WE NEED THAT!! SIGN ME UP!!"

A little side note on the Chick-Fil-A, the first time I ate there, I overheard some conservative idiot say, "I don't know why they even go to church. They're so liberal...blah blah blah...more conservative bullshit." It made me want to knock him in his mouth.

Who the fuck says you can't be liberal and go to church?

I myself am an atheist but I know plenty of liberal Christians.

1. Jesus was liberal... heck, he was a socialist!
One of my teabaggy fundy cousins tried to tell me Jesus was a Republican... I told him no, Jesus was a socialist... that's what he was teaching everyone with all those stories about feeding the hungry, helping the sick, and befriending the social outcasts. I haven't heard back from him since... I hope he's getting ready to hit me with his best stuff!

:D

4. Part of being a happy member of a white "christian" church is that you have to also be
a republican, the two sort of go together. Author Anne Rice has been talking about this lately.

5. Bullpucky!
I am an active member of a Christian church, with a pastor who is politically liberal as well. As a matter of fact, since I began attending that church 36 years ago, EACH of the pastors - 7 altogether, 4 men and 3 women, have been left to left of center. Not a single one could be described as (R).

It is time to get over your unfounded bias against Christians.
