... psychologically speaking... according to the wiki bio I read earlier today. ( OK, all the fuss made me give in; until now i could not have cared LESS about Glen Beck.)

Lot's of family suicide, substance abuse, an assortment of other problemmas. He's all better since he converted to mormonism, so he says, and also went to AA.

Doesn't necessarily disqualify him from spearheading a public movement. (Lincoln was a *mess* in modern psychological terms.)

But it seems fair to speculate if he's still struggling, and to what degree this may be influencing his political antics.
