Restoring Honor or Begging Forgiveness ?

Where did we lose our honor that it needs to be "restored"?

Was it when Barack Obama was elected?

Or was it when you stood behind George W Bush as he lied us into a war? When our country captured people and tortured them and renditioned them to other countries to be tortured even more harshly? When "your" President spied on a million Americans and wiped his ass on the Constitution of the United States? And then, you went and voted for him again.

When you and your President robbed our country blind just to give it to the wealthy? And when it collapsed from your decision, you look to blame someone else? Is that what you want to restore? Or do want God to forgive you for your stupidity? What exactly do you want restored? Where did that honor go?

..."honor and integrity to the White House" I gave him a pass on that. After Clinton's blowjob escapade, I could understand why people would feel like the Oval Office had been debased.

I knew, of course, that if Bush got elected, he would debase the office even further, and naturally, he turned out to be one of the worst presidents ever.

However, in this case, I just can't understand where this "restoring honor" thing is coming from. It's just words. It means nothing, and that's why the whole day seems to be coming off rather flat. The people up on the stage know the whole thing is a ruse, and the audience is starting to suspect it as well. I imagine this whole thing will be out of the news cycle by Tuesday morning...
