Palin). Then Jeff Greenfield gave a bullshit "analysis" about how the teabaggers represent the civil rights movement!

1. The liberal media has spoken.
If CBS, icon of the liberal media, says there were 87,000 people, there really must have been 870,000 people! Glenn Beck is the Martin Luther King for the Sarah Palin generation!

These are things we know from listening to the media, and thus we must know they are true. This is America, circa 2010.

2. I knew it! That's the only reason the AA speakers were there
to get the press. Now Fox will try to get BecKKK's advertisers back.

3. Is 87 thousand really that many?
Considering the Koch brothers and their friends chartered busses and this event was hyped for months?
I'm no good at reading crowd pics...but in the close up shots they all seemed to have plenty of space between them...

7. You must be a lot older than me
I can't remember when he wasn't the prototypical media whore. I can remember when he was at CNN pontificating about Clinton's moral unsuitability to be president after the Lewinsky crap became public.

5. This group represents the white people who are afraid of losing their
culture as they become outnumbered in the census. It was not the rights of minorities (as we understand the word) but instead they are saying that they are now the minority and they want their rights. They are acting out of fear and Beck eggs them on. Be afraid, as Rachel says.

9. from NBC NEWS:
Officials do not make crowd estimates because they are unreliable and can be controversial, but event organizers put the number of attendees at 500,000; NBC News said it was closer to 300,000, but by any measure it was a large turnout. The crowd stretched from the Lincoln Memorial to the Washington Monument.

Photos from CBS.

AirPhotosLive.com gave its estimate a margin of error of 9,000, meaning between 78,000 and 96,000 people attended the rally. The photos used to make the estimate were taken at noon Saturday, which is when the company estimated was the rally's high point.
