"Restoring honor": new racist phrase?
Is "restoring honor" the new Republikkkan code phrase for "get that <Dr. Laura's favorite word> out of the White House"?

1. one wonders what their concept of "honor" includes--if it's seppuku, then I am all for it.

2. It's the new equivalent of "State's Rights."
It means let's undo all the stuff about Civil Rights and The Great Society and go back to the white, English-speaking, Protestant nation conservatives pretend we always were.

3. It's like "ethnic cleansing"...anything that makes things clean can't be all bad
"Restoring Honor" is obviously code for "We need to get a middle-aged white guy back in the oval office in 2012."

"Taking Our Country Back" is obviously code for "We need to get a middle-aged white guy back in the oval office in 2012."

Lather, rinse, repeat. There is no way that the Republicans are going to come to terms with an African-American as Commander In Chief.

So between now and 2012, look for more "buzz words" written in transparent code.

7. it must be the new racist phrase
because when we said it about the little fuckhead bushie it was actually reasonable and made a lot of sense--he was the most undignified, stupid, ignorant, treacherous little shit to hit the white house in years (possibly ever)

for someone to be using it about obama? he has got to be one of the most intelligent, eloquent, dignified and seemingly personable people to hit the white house in years (possibly ever). (even tho he pisses me off for not being as liberal as i want him to be).

so..bottom line--it's got to be code for racism. either that or these morans just don't understand the term: "restoring honor."

10. No we are not going to let "honor" be turned into a dog whistle.
If we interpret it as such we are the ones who are contributing to the perversion. Let them use it the way they want but we must make the word our own too. Can we find no use for "honor" that appeals to our ideas?
