He did have one complication, his pancreas shut down. He went on a medicine (Viada - I don't know how it's spelled), that helped control his insulin until his pancreas started working again.

A guy at work had his gallbladder out and had zero complications. I don't even think he was off from work that long either.

I would get the surgery, my dad felt instantly better as did the gentleman that I work with.

after laproscopic surgery and cannot believe how much better I feel. Before the surgery even drinking a glass of water could set off an attack of gallstone colic. And you know how much fun that is.
