My husband's boss is a Becker-Head.
Actually, according to the boss, it's his wife. They drove from NC to DC to go to the "event".

I wonder if their honor is restored?

And if you haven't guessed, we are RED, RED, RED here in our little county.

Becker-Heads....

I'm funny.

1. I like that -- going to steal it if you don't mind
What county? I'm in Mecklenburg, and while we're relatively blue in Charlotte, there are pockets of the county that are scarily red.

4. Iredell. Just north of you. Yeah...red.
And I posted it on DU so it could get picked up and used.

Please, ride that pony into the ground..... and have fun doing it.

7. I remember it well, it's why I fled screaming in the late 60s
actually stopping to knock the Carolina dirt off my shoes just over the line in Virginia.

I fled all the way to Boston, which turned out to be a great fit for over 20 years until it got yuppied to death.

I do know the state is turning a lot more to the purple that it was when I was there, leaving a full five years before Helms hit the Senate but knowing full well how and why he'd get there and stay there.

Western NC isn't too bad, actually. The truly scary part of the state is the Tidewater.

3. TalkingDog, I feel for you
You do know you can't argue with your DH's boss.

I pray that an event will happen to wake up deluded suckers who think Beck is a decent man. He's pathetic. He's not Christian. He's mean spirited. Please, Lord, let his real nature be revealed soon.

6. My SO's boss is too.
He's in an ethnic music group. Boss got up towards the end of his performance and whipped up the audience, praising Beck and Palin, denigrating the validity of the President and his birth certificate, and ending with how Palin should be President ASAP with her "wisdom". The audience responded favorably and the only thing missing was "Tomorrow Belongs to Me".

Scary stuff.

:-(

9. We're in Caswell, northeast of y'all
it's surprisingly blue for a very rural county. Very few repugs here and everybody knows who those sunsabitches are. The one whose yard looks like a forest of wackadoodle candidate signs every election season is too old to have made the drive up and back. Probably for the best because I'm too old to TP his trees

I've been calling them "beckerwoods" myself, but you may be more correct. Most of them are so old and so gross they haven't seen wood in a few decades... jessayin'

13. I have some friends in Caswell County
My college roommate is from there, and although I love her and her family dearly, they are quite red. We have a rule that we don't talk politics and everyone gets along fine. They're very kind and loving people -- just deluded.

10. Becker-Heads
Has a nice ring to it. Why I think I even like it. " As Queen Mstinamotorcity I hereby declare that from this day forward all followers of the infamous, crying, waiting on a miracle from God to Restore America's Honor through Conservatism Glen Beck, Will for now and forever be known as the Becker-Heads" And we here a DU Kingdom would like to Thank Sir TalkingDog for his brilliant suggestion. This sir has earned you an honorary knighthood to the Royal House of DU.Congrats!!

12. wait a minute ... to have honor "restored" ...
wouldn't one, such as Beck, have to had it previously?

And, from what I understand, he never had any.
