For those who want to keep the Republicans from taking over...
Edited on Wed Sep-15-10 07:45 PM by USArmyParatrooper
The recently announced website that was designed to make getting involved easy.

http://www.democrats.org/

Very user friendly. I live in NC but I'm registered to vote in California. I didn't even know who's running in this district - where my wife IS registered.

Front Page:

http://www.democrats.org/

CLICK

type in zip code then type in street address

Elaine Marshall
NC Senate

Larry Kissell
NC House

These are the Democratic candidates where I live, and for each you can click on their name to go to their site, and you can click on "Help Person X" to learn how to volunteer.

NOTE: If you want to rehash your displeasure of the hype around the announcement, please use the other thread. This is for those of us who would like to get involved in Democratic campaigns.

3. Trying to head-off predictable thread-jacking is wise
and, in this case, rather insightful.

6. Trying to control the conversation is not insightful,
it is boorish.

7. It's actually in keeping with the forum rules.

Stay on topic. Do not jump into an unrelated discussion and introduce a barely-relevant tangent.

This is for the sole purpose of sharing a resource for political action.

9. If it's a rule then clearly you needn't "warn" other adults -
this is just your attempt to keep people from saying things you don't want to hear.

10. I'm not going to be baited into an off topic, thread-jacking exchange with you.
Good day.

13. I commented very directly on a line in your thread,
but no worries. I'm sure hostile approaches will work great when you're out walking the neighborhoods.

4. This is an excellent development.
As a political activist I am glad this tool is out there so people can find out how to help our hard working candidates. I hope to see first hand how effective this will be.

5. I actually hope Fox starts slamming the new website.
Inevitably people will start going to it out of curiosity.

11. Thanks for this...was pondering jumping into the fray and getting involved - this is useful.
The Burr ads that are running are....like a Burr! So I am indeed ready to mobilize for Marshall. (North Raleigh checking in!)
