Alan Greenspan actually wants to let the tax cuts expire?!
Edited on Fri Oct-01-10 09:02 AM by w8liftinglady
As most of you know,I was a Randian Objectivist(the most hardcore of Libertarians) in College, and alan Greenspan was rand's successor. For him to say this is substantial.I think he is trying to make things right before he goes to the great beyond...

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-09-25/greenspan-says-more-important-to-cut-u-s-budget-than-extend-bush-tax-cuts.html

It’s more important for the U.S. to cut its budget deficit than to extend tax cuts currently set to expire at the end of this year, former Federal Reserve Governor Alan Greenspan said in an interview on PBS.

“The budget deficit problem, I believe, is far more dangerous than most of us contemplate on a day-to-day basis,” Greenspan said in an interview broadcast on PBS television’s “Newshour.” While low interest rates have made it easy for the government to sell bonds, “assuredly they’re not going to stay here.”

3. I would be in favor of letting the ones over $250,000 expire now
and if and when the unemployment improves consider letting the others expire at least partially. Something has to done with the deficit, since nobody wants to cut anything we need to take in more income.

4. I'm with him on this one
No one I know noticed them when they were enacted.

No one will notice them when they're reinstated.
