Five-State Firewall for Senate
These are the Senate races I feel the Democrats need to mainly focus on to keep their Senate majority and (still have some breathing room). Since it's looking pretty likely we won't pick up any seats this year (KY and LA are the only possibilities, and they're longshots), we need to focus on defending our majority as best we can. We SHOULD hold California and Delaware, but the others aren't so certain: with resources limited, we should go for the lowest-hanging fruit: IMO, they are as follows:

Connecticut (we're slightly ahead)
Illinois (dead heat)
Nevada (dead heat)
Washington (inexplicably(!) a dead heat)
West Virginia (dead heat)

:puffpiece:

Arkansas & North Dakota are all but gone and while Pennsylvania and Wisconsin are still winnable, the fruit's a little high, and I think it would be smarter to target on states where we're either tied or slightly ahead.

Holding these 5 seats will keep our majority at (at least) 53-47. Certainly enough to control the legislative agenda in the upper chamber.
