Rahm's replacement makes perfect sense.
Rahm spent all of his waking hours, as head of the DCCC recruiting Republicans to switch parties and run as Democrats, and run liberals out of the race.

Now he gets replaced by a Republican, who switched parties! The guy worked for Tom Daschle. The ONLY Democrat, who could make Harry Reid look like he had some balls!

12. Anyone with any HR experience will tell you that.
"The best indicator of future performance is always past performance."

So, while Obama's administration is whining about an enthusiasm gap, and wondering why people on the left aren't excited, what do they do?

1. They replace someone who bashes the left with someone from the right.
2. They send out the FBI on a coordinated campaign to round up and harass activists on the left

Yes, this will all make Obama SO MUCH MORE POPULAR with his base on the left. :eyes:

It's as if he's trying to make himself unpopular, trying to see exactly how unpopular he has to be before people won't vote for him anymore.

:wtf:

10. The evolution from a Big Tent Party to a Big Empty Bag Party has not been an easy one
and we must not look back, because there might be a bunch of psychotic war criminals gaining on us and I don't like crapping my pants.

9. Actually, if you look at the record center right is exactly what it was
from the outset, so there wasn't a whole lot of steering needed.

13. National Review rated Obama as one of the most liberal Senators
based on his voting record. You're fudging the facts to match your prejudices again.

16. National Review would rate Ben and Bill Nelson as the most liberal Senators.
Every election cycle they vote some conservadems as the most liberal. Ever notice that they never mention actual liberals?

20. No, they vote the Dem presidential candidate as most liberal
Before Obama, they rated John Kerry as the most liberal. Coincidence, huh?

because you made it up. Likewise, you're fudging the facts to suit your own biases.

7. So we're disqualifying anyone who switched parties a long time ago
from being a "true progressive" now?

Just wanted to make sure my list of "People The 'True Progressives' Have Branded As Unclean Traitors" was up-to-date.

The Crist for Crist party? He's still a Bush-loving registered Republican. Is supporting a Republican for Senator in Florida what makes you such a hard core progressive?

21. Daschele Is A Rushpublican??
An inept Minority/Majority leader, yes. A rushpublican...no way.

Rouse is a nuts and bolts guy...his main job will be to find ways to work with the legislative (especially should the GOTB win control of the House). If anything, this signals how Rahm didn't play well with his former Congresscritters; pissing off the "retarded" liberals and then the blue dogs. Yes he did or else they would have passed through some kind of tax cut bill that excluded the Top 2%. I'm certain President Obama wanted it but the blue dogs turned tail and ran...a sign Rahm's effectiveness was gone and now is he.

Grave dance all you want but I still give Emanuel credit for winning the House in '06...along with Dr. Dean's 50-state strategy. One of those guys he recruited to switch parties is Joe Sustak...who was surely no blue dog and will make a very good Senator. The world is not just black and white...
