Kind of confused - Over the years, hasn't Limpball, Beck and O'Lielly said worse?
When it comes to repeated disgusting comments, are others out there who are as confused as to why Sanchez was fired so fast while Limpball, Beck, Savage and O'Lielly have went on like the Energizer bunnies on meth?

I'm not trying to condone Sanchez's comments at all, but how the hell have these other sickening people kept their megaphones while he was fired so quick?

3. Yeah but they're employed by RW propaganda TV
not a network that is trying to be credible and taken seriously

4. Limbaugh and Savage probably have. Beck, not sure. O'Reilly is generally good at keeping...
his mouth under control. Only Beck and O'Reilly would need to worry about such a scandal because they're employed by networks. Limbaugh is in syndication independently and I suspect the same is true for Savage.

5. What confuses me is that Beck was employed by CNN and had made several pretty smarmy
remarks prior to being hired by them. I'm not condoning what Sanchez said but I do wonder why someone like Beck was hired in the first place given his track record. Granted he was not so over the edge on CNN like he is now on Faux, but he still had an iffy history.

7. faux makes no pretenses.... cnn claims to be 'the most trusted name in news'.
and the way the got rid of him so fast, maybe there was some other reason they were looking to dump him?

14. their "most trusted name in news" ship sailed away with
Ted Turner. They're a joke now. Not as big a joke as Fox, but a joke nevertheless.

8. I'm confused, too, considering CNN is still using Erick Erickson. I don't
expect Fox to have any standards or hold their people responsible for what they say, but CNN, IMO, is setting a double standard by keeping Erick Erickson while firing Sanchez. I want both of them fired.

13. Has Erick Erickson made disparaging remarks about Jews running TV News?
This was about blaming Jews and really not about Stewart. It is possible the heads of CNN might even be Jewish..

9. Limbaugh was fired from ESPN for making comments about Donovan McNabb
Edited on Sat Oct-02-10 07:14 AM by oberliner
That was in 2003, I believe.

I think he was "asked to resign" rather than fired.
