Proof That Meg Whitman Is Lying?

At a fiery press conference this week, celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred presented a letter from the Social Security Administration, which she claims proves that California gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman knew that her housekeeper was an illegal alien.

Here in the midwest we wouldn't even
THINK about it...but I've heard people
from other parts of this country (and
other countries...) talking about their
"help".

I did some work for an advertising
exec who relocated to Detroit from
her offices in Singapore and brought
a Filipino "babysitter" back here
with her.

When the young woman started hanging
out with other "nannies" here in Grosse Pointe
and found out what they were making, she
balked at her (virtual) slavery situation.

This executive actually had the NERVE to
tell me about how she had confiscated this
kid's passport and other documents and how
she would NEVER get away from her.

that the housekeeper was an illegal alien, or that Meg knew as much. Still, proof may not be what's required, just the perception that Whitman is a liar who hires and fires illegal immigrants to suit her own career will probably be enough.

10. Yeah, I agree this doesn't prove anything, however, if the MSNBC lineup last eve

is any indication, there is available now a document from IRS to Whitman telling Whitman of concerns regarding the legality that has Whitman's husband's handwriting on it proving they were warned and the letter didn't get lost or confiscated by the maid (which I believe Whitman tried to float as a possibility).

Now that Allred has basically incriminated her client? Why is no one asking that question or even seeming to be concerned about it?

Apparently, her immigration troubles are being addressed. If not, she would have been picked up already. It's not like no one knows about her.

This letter doesn't prove anything. It implies much, but proves nothing. To the original point, that this letter somehow proves Whitman knew the housekeeper was illegal, it doesn't. In fact, the letter itself states that the contents were not proof of anything. To your specific point, the letter itself, or the note from the Hubby, fails to prove that Whitman had any knowledge of the letter. Instead of lying, she might just be wrong.

But who cares?

The strong IMPLICATION that she's a lying, self serving @#$%^&, at this late in the game, is enough to cost her the election.
