Violating the Privacy of Gay College Students: Then and Now

It was disheartening to hear about the outrageous invasion of privacy of Rutgers student Tyler Clementi that led to his suicide. Although there has been a lot of progress in terms of attitudes toward members of the LGBT community over the past few decades, there will always be those who hassle others because of their differences.

However, there is one important thing to keep in mind: the people who harassed Clementi are facing serious criminal charges and ostracism from most Americans, in the 1980's harassing and violating the privacy of gay college students was a launching pad for a talk radio career and a gig as a Fox News News contributor.

2. my college gay group met underground

that is what being gay was like back then. I had a man I dated threaten to send my parents and friends proof I was gay if I wouldn't refuse to help his wife divorce him. I outed myself, but I did, for a moment, consider suicide instead. I was a scared ashamed puppy back then, not so much now. Laura Ingram is scum and should be treated as such.
