Ugh! The pro-fetus crowd is demonstrating near my condo complex.

This is in Ann Arbor, MI at the intersection of Washtenaw and Huron Parkway. There is a Planned Parenthood clinic on Huron Parkway. At least they're not holding up pictures of aborted fetuses, like previous protests.

There was this old dude in a station wagon who used to protest all the time right at the clinic, drove her crazy. Wonder if he's still around.

So they're right out at the intersection? Wow. I guess it's a big audience for them. They'd spend their time better 'for the children' with some foster parenting or tutoring or something. Assholes.

but my younger brother is probably in that crowd. He won't even discuss the issue, he just 'knows what he knows'. Yes, he's a fundie - the only one in the family. I miss the gentle soul he used to be.

14. Heard a funny clinic protest story.

One of the people I was canvassing with (I'm hesitant to reveal her name) was volunteering as a clinic escort for a Planned Parenthood clinic, and that day, she had a middle aged client with her, and on the other side, there was the usual rabid fundies out there heckling, and they were shouting "Don't kill your baby! Let me take your baby!" "LET ME TAKE YOUR BABY!!!"

So this woman that my friend was escorting got fed up, stopped, walked over to the protesters. My friend at the time was going "Oh shit! Oh shit!" because a confrontation was the last thing she wanted.

The woman walked up to the fundies, and asked them "Do you really want my baby?" One of the fundies brightened up, said "Yes! We'll take your baby!"

The woman said "Give me half an hour. Do you want it in paper or plastic?"
