Edited on Mon Oct-04-10 09:06 AM by annabanana
You mean Europeans under possible attack, and their might be some Americans there, incidentally. .

I'm glad to see that all the networks are promoting Colbert's "Keep Fear Alive" rally!

1. well that just means we need to station troops in every European country ...
... purely to keep American tourists safe, you know .... not because we need a way to use all of this goddamned military machinery we've been buying for the last 50 years ... :eyes:

2. Under attack by ideas.......
..... you know, like getting out in the street and protesting extreme government cuts to the social safety net.

4. Only in the context of not being for death.
Supporting being Alive, is not the same as supporting fear, it could be seen as not doing harm.

It is a paradox, that is what happens when you support a person, something is done that you disagree with. I think he is using something like satire or sarcasm.

I don't use that idea very often, so can only think on that as against death, not for fear.

Courage is not a moral component, it can be bad or good, so fear and better thoughts of what is right can end up building courage. However that does not mean fear is correct, only that it can get some to think and feel on things, but should not be used to make any decision.

That was disappointing to me when he picked that slogan, although he thinks in different ways, and it is his choice. But I don't support fear, I just don't wish death upon anything.

Really messed up slogan, but that was probably the intent.

8. Fear, fear, fear!! Terra, terra, terra!!
I swear, for a nation that struts its stuff and thinks it's so badass, we can be pretty chickenshit.

10. If an incident should happen, the screams would be deafening.
Why weren't we warned? Better to use your head than lose it.
