Michelle Bachmann's Fundraising: A Sign of the Apocalypse
No, I don't think that it means the end of the Democratic party, or any kind of apocalypse of THAT kind. Midterms are 460+ individual races, not beholden to any national trend or any attempt to set a neat, easy to follow storyline.

That being said, reports that Michelle Bachmann raised $3.4 million in the third quarter alone is a kick in the pants to anyone who hopes for a more rational debate about politics. Once again, the loudest, most outrageous, say-it-all-let-God-sort-it-out politicians are being rewarded by their supporters for being the loudest and most outrageous.

Frankly, I think it's a bit of a bummer...

4. Agreed...
but it's still disconcerting that someone like her can raise so much money from the same people she claims are being taxed to death. It's a shame that its the craziest politicians that get propped up like this.

3. How much of that $ is being raised in her district from her constituents?
I'd bet a pretty small % - She's a rising star in the GOP and a reliable vote against the middle class. I wish the voters in her district would understand that her funding comes with a price tag...

5. The ultimate example of "money corrupts"
Underneath Bachmann's shiny, pretty exterior lies the smoldering wreckage of failed GOP policy -- at some point all the money in the world won't be able to sweep the mountains of bullshit under the rug.
