A new Rasmussen survey shows Republicans leading Democrats in the generic congressional ballot by just three points, 45% to 42% -- the smallest gap between parties in roughly a year.

3. The real hilarious thing is that this is a Rasmussen poll

Rasmussen consistently oversamples Republicans, using percentages of Republicans in greater numbers than are in the general population. So if a Rasmussen poll shows a result within the margin of error, it's pretty safe to say that Democrats are ahead, which really monkey-wrenches the preferred media narrative. If this is reported at all, it will be reported as "Republicans hold their edge" or some such nonsense.

7. I don't like the "generic" polls.....

....they really don't tell you much about the individual races which is the real thing, but the fact that it's this close is better than nothing.
