The Milwakee Journal Sentinel political blogs have a regular who goes by nitrixgli. He/she sees exactly what is going on in this country and speaks out with passion and elequence. Here's his/her latest, responding to an anti-union comment in a blog about the Kohler Company (think urinals and golf courses) trying to slash labor costs.
"Wonder if the union members can connect the dots between tax increases on their employer"
Taxes aren't the reason they're busting unions and exploiting workers. They're paying the least amount of taxes they've paid in the history of this country. Besides, they don't have to complain about taxes, they've suckered you into doing it for them.
The American worker is their number one target, simple and plain. They figure that shareholders and CEO's shouldn't have to sacrifice any of their own enrichment simply to provide a livable income to the peons who actually make the product which generates the revenue that creates the profit.
As profits and worker productivity increases, American corporations continue to offer less value to society, to the worker, and to the consumer. It's the crime of the century and nothing is being done to stop it because the Capitalists have convinced us that it's good for us.
